Record Maps positions without pretending they are universal
Google Maps results change with searcher location, relevance and other factors. A search for “plumber Columbus” from another city is not the same as a search performed on a Columbus street. This tool does not simulate locations, crawl Google or fetch automated rankings.
Record the business, keyword, location and non-sponsored position you actually observe. For comparisons, use consistent search conditions and label the location honestly. “Not found” means you did not find the business in the results you checked; it does not mean it has no visibility anywhere.
Observations stay in this browser. Download a CSV for your own records. To improve the fundamentals, use our Google profile self-audit and read how reviews relate to local SEO.
Questions
Does this check live rankings automatically?
No. You open a live Google Maps search and enter what you see. Automated location-grid ranking checks need a separate reliable data provider, which is not connected.
Do results follow me to another device?
No. Entries are stored in this browser only. Export your observations before clearing browser data or moving to another device.
